It is crazy to think that this time year we had some what of a heat wave happening in the UK. I've not quite donned my bare legs and strapless dresses just yet, despite a little peek from the sunshine over the weekend. Looking at the picture above, I'm not quite sure where to go with my hair once the warmer months set in. Lighter or darker? Full fringe or grow it out? My Mum is my hairdresser and I think she hates most when I'm indecisive.

I've been using a sample of Kiehls new BB Cream which should be in the shops soon. Their 'natural' shade seems to match my fake tanned face perfectly (I normally just add sun shimmer to my usual foundation) I often find I've got a bit of discolouration around my eyes and the BB cream seemed to correct it quite well without me having to use a concealer. I'm impressed! I've also got a wee sample of fair and light, so will need to give them a go once my fake tans wears off and my skin is a bit paler. This is my first experience of a BB cream. Do you have any good or bad things to report about ones you have used?

I stayed down in Gourock with John last week, it was great to see his family and get some home cooking (and even more Easter Eggs) about me! I don't go down and stay as much as I used to, cause I hate leaving Dexter but it makes me appreciate it even more when I do go down. We took a walk along the water and stopped for a hot chocolate at his Mum and Dads Hotel on the way home. Although there was a wee heat coming from the sun, it was chilly in the shade and lets face it no matter what the weather is like I will never turn down one of John's hot chocolates.

Bright new bedsheets, floral curtains, hanging my washing outside to dry, chocolate hangovers and a cute new makeup bag with some Clinique goodies has made me feel like spring has certainly sprung!

Proof that this time last year we really were enjoying a heat wave! These pictures are from a day trip up north I took with John.

Picnic and bikinis on the beach in Scotland - bring it on! I'm looking forward to bare legs and no jackets needed on nights out too (the simple things in life eh?) Plus, BBQ's and Beer Gardens! I already have a host of imaginary nights out planned in my head for the coming months so I thought I better get oufit planning too. While looking at the party dresses at Bank Fashion I stumbled across a range called Ribbon, and I don't know why I've never heard of them before. Absolutely loving their dresses. Here are my top picks along with a wee Galaxy print number from Firetrap just for good measure:

1. Firetrap oversize tunic - £49 (reduced from £75)
2. Ribbon Skull Midi Dress - £25
3. Ribbon Chambray Lace 2 in 1 Dress - £28
4. Ribbon Busy Bodycon Dress - £30

What sort of changes do you make to your makeup, hairstyle and general getting ready routine for the summer months?
