French Bulldog and Tattoos

If you follow me on instagram, twitter or facebook, then you'll have seen that two weeks ago me and Pete became the proud owner of a French Bulldog puppy. Everyone, meet Bronson...

Bronson was part of a litter of four and today he's 10 weeks and one day old. His brother Max (the mostly black pup) is staying with the breeder, then there's Luna (who had left when I went to collect Bronson) and this little lady above is Olive, who is now home with our very own Sheri from Forever Yours Betty. Brother and Sister got reunited at my birthday last weekend, it was so bloody cute seeing them meet each other again after some time apart. Sheri stays in Glasgow too so we will be able to have plenty of puppy dates and hopefully Bronson and Olive can grow up to be BFF's for life! I'm really looking forward to his second jags being out the way so we can take him out proper walks and get him socialising with other dogs too.

Bronson has been an absolute sweetheart from day 1, he is a total handful but a really lovely natured dog and has taken to the crate training and toilet training extremely well. He's getting on brilliantly with the cats, which was never a major worry for me as they are both so laid back, but it was still a relief to see them accept this little guy into their home so quickly and with no confrontation. I want to thank Ashley for coming with me to Dundee to pick him up (as Pete was away down south with his band) and for taking these gorgeous pictures of him! Big thanks to Michelle too for giving me a last minute puppy prep talk the morning I was going to collect him. Despite being totally prepared, I was still worried because as a cat lady I know what they need, their body language and how these animals are. Dogs are complete unknown territory to me and I was going to be alone with him for the first week before Pete came back from England! Our wee family is all united now and absolutely loving this new addition to our furry gang.

Between work and looking after a new puppy, life has pretty much been on hold for me so I apologise that things have been a little quiet around here. I'm hoping to get back to normal weekly posting as soon as possible, I've just been feeling a little overwhelmed recently and trying to work out a good routine and balance without having a complete melt down! It's not my job's fault, or Bronsons fault, it's just a combination of absolutely everything being mega busy lately along with the typical timing of my anxiety being really bad. I've upped my medication for the time being after a long chat with the doctor, so hoping that will help in the coming weeks just to take the pressure off a little. My brain is constantly over active and worrying, so that's taking up a lot of my energy which I could be productively using elsewhere. I don't want to put a downer on this super cute puppy filled post, I just wanted to let you know why I might take a little longer to reply to emails and comments, with longer gaps between posts. I'm still here, but just trying to work stuff out in my brain. This little bundle of cuteness has been a total ray of sunshine and has probably helped with my anxiety in the long run, by giving me something positive to focus on and care for ♥
