BOOOOOBS! Do I have your attention? Put a bunch of bloggers in a room with a rail full of beautiful clothes from House Of Fraser, a selection of bralettes from the new Ultimo SS16 collection, and a photographer... well, this is what happens!
Last month I was invited along to an event with Ultimo at House Of Fraser in Glasgow, where we were challenged to style up an outfit chanelling this seasons 'underwear as outerwear' trend. I wasn't feeling brave (or tanned) enough on the day to go all out, as I'd just rolled into town straight from work - hence the slightly disheveled hair and makeup look I've got going on. Let's just say I was taking inspo from the catwalks of Paris and that it was totally intentional! Myself and a few others ended up taking advantage of some sheer shirts and dresses, layering them with our chosen bralettes which created a lovely silhouette underneath. They're the sort of bra and straps which you don't mind being visible through your clothes or peeping out the low cut back or side of an outfit.
I honestly think that summer can sometimes be too warm for heavy underwire bras, and while I could never let my boobies roam free under a dress or shirt in the sunnier months, I do love the idea of bralettes for comfort and adding another bit of detail to your outfit. I know that these type of soft bras aren't for everyone (especially if your boobs are quite big!) so I made a little wishlist of normal bras from the Ultimo range which I think would look quite sweet peeking out from under an outfit too.
